MAPLE IN MANHATTAN
in an effort to teach schoolchildren about the maple industry, representatives from the new york state maple producers association recently brought a mobile maple exhibit to 2nd to 5th graders from p.s. 111 and p.s. 191. students learned about maple tree tapping and syrup production, as well as the history of maple farming in new york, and, of course, sampled maple products.
