New Ice Skating Rink in Battery Park City

The Rink at Brookfield Place opened November 16, between the Winter Garden and the North Cove Marina on the Upper Plaza.

The new ice skating rink will be open for public skating every day from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. until mid-March. Skate rentals and sharpening are available, The Rink will be hosting various community events, skating lessons and hockey classes, as well as other activities. Rates are $15 per session, $5 for skate rentals and $15 for skate sharpening.

With a skating surface that stretches 105 feet long and 70 feet wide - or 7,350 square feet - The Rink at Brookfield Place is larger than the Rockefeller Center Rink and can accommodate up to 250 people at a time.
