Offering Directions Leads to Robbery

a friendly queens man was robbed on sept. 25 at 8:55 p.m. in riverside park after offering a mugger directions. cops said the mugger approached the man, who was sitting with a woman, near west 78th street, and asked him what direction downtown was. as the man pointed the direction, the mugger pulled out a gun covered in a white plastic shopping bag and said, "do you think i'm kidding?" the man handed over his iphone while the woman gave him $5.
