Ethics and the Theater will present a reading of the play 4,000 Miles, by Amy Herzog. When Leo shows up at his grandmother Vera's New York apartment late at night, he's exhausted, dirty - and unexpected. He has been on the road, biking from Seattle, and has not communicated with anyone in some time. Vera hasn't seen Leo since her husband's funeral, years ago, but over the course of the next few weeks, as the two become reacquainted, struggling, often comically, to bridge the gaps between them and form a common front against the pain of living and loss.
