Just before 4 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, a 21-year-old woman from Queens was hit in the face with a bottle of Patrón by an unknown person in a bar on Varick Street. The victim did not call 911, but went on her own to Jamaica Hospital, where she was informed that she had multiple facial fractures as well as a split lip. This incident gives new meaning to the phrase, a "Tequila Slammer."
