A mother found to be [living with her children in filth] last month was [charged with neglect](http://wcbstv.com/topstories/local_story_065170258.html) as part of today’s Family Court proceeding. After breaking into Deborah Young’s Lindenhurst home, husband Raymond Young found dangerously dirty living conditions, including jars of urine, human feces and dead animals. Locked in a custody battle, Raymond—who was accused of child abuse and thus hadn’t seen his kids in six years—had no choice but to check the house out for himself after a neighbor tipped him to his wife’s possible neglect. Since then, both parents have undergone psychological evaluations and the children—ages 10, 12 and 14—have been placed in the custody of foster care.
