In the afternoon of Thursday, May 2, a 46-year-old man had left his commercial truck unattended on Lexington Avenue with the shutter on the back of the truck closed but not locked, as he went off to run an errand. When he returned, he found the truck's shutter was open and items had been removed by an unknown person. The items stolen from the truck were two Clarke CFP 2000 1.5-hp electric floor polisher machines worth $3,000, plus a hand truck valued at $300.
