Poll: Bloomberg Would Rock Spitzer
| 11 Nov 2014 | 01:47
If we elected a new governor today, we would elect Mike Bloomberg.
A new Siena Poll released today shows that the mayor would crush Eliot Spitzer in an election today, 50-37. Spitzer does best Bloomberg among Democrats, though Republicans favor the mayor 70-18. Bloomberg leads by 28 points in New York City and 31 points in the downstate suburbs. Spitzer has a 15-point lead over Bloomberg upstate.
"What a difference a summer can make. In June, Spitzer had a small lead but now Mayor Mikes lead is significant. Eliot Spitzer should be happy his re-election is three years away," said Steven Greenberg, a spokesperson for the Siena polling group.
