There
aren’t any words in Albert Lamorisse’s 1956 short film “The Red
Balloon,” and one of the characters couldn’t talk anyway, owing to the
fact that she’s a balloon. But this tale of a boy and his balloon was
the most touching film about balloons until Up came out.
Not a weird kid!
Bottom Line: It’s 34 minutes and shows at lunch. You’re fat and sad. Seeing this instead of eating solves both problems.
