New Zealand's new bleeding billboards are the country's most troubling creation since Flight of the Conchords.
Because the rainy season is also the season of fatal car crashes in New
Zealand, the Kiwis, in an effort to make drivers take safety more
seriously, hatched the brilliant idea of building billboards that
actually bleed whenever it rains. A boy's face stares out at the road,
projecting both innocence and reprimand, as red fluid flows in streams
from his nose, eyebrows and ears.
The anchor for New Zealand's 3 News says the signs create "maximum
awareness through unease." They sure do! We're so maximally aware of
a boy's face bleeding that we can't keep our eyes on the road. Watch below:
