School Janitor Accused of Student Rape

This morning, [a janitor at PS 91] in East Flatbush, Brooklyn was arrested and charged with rape, sex abuse and endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly attacking an 8-year-old female student in a basement [bathroom at the school](http://www.nypost.com/seven/03202007/news/regionalnews/school_janitor_raped_girl__cops_regionalnews_perry_chiaramonte.htm).

Police said the victim claimed Francis Evelyn, 58, had committed sexual acts with her [more than four times] between Feb. 1 and March 9. Evelyn has worked at the school for 20 years, reports NY1, and has no criminal history. He's been remanded on $150,000 bail. Some alarmed [parents are threatening](http://www.ny1.com/ny1/content/index.jsp?stid=1&aid=67819) to pull their kids out of school, saying if the girl hadn't come forward, no one would have found out about the crime.
