The Solomon Schechter School of Manhattan, a private Jewish school, is moving to a permanent home at 805 Columbus Ave., on the southeast corner of 100th Street. The new facilities will be part of the Columbus Village development now under construction at Park West Village, between Columbus and Amsterdam avenues from 97th to 100th streets. Since the school's founding in 1996, Solomon Schechter shared the space with two synagogues. With the need to expand-the school added a middle school in 2003-Solomon Schechter is relocating to a 13,000-square-foot place during the 2009 and 2010 school year and will open a new preschool.
