Sex, Rats and the City: A Nasty Combo
Like poor Carrie Bradshaw, the popular Sex and the City coffee shop has been deemed rather unappealing ... by health inspectors. The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene slapped the eatery with a total of 120 points worth of violations27 points is the maximum to pass. Amongst others, inadequately refrigerated raw hamburger meat and milk were cited. Yum! Co-owner Charles Milite told the [New York Post](http://www.nypost.com/seven/03132007/news/regionalnews/shut_eatery_smells_a_rat_regionalnews_carl_campanile_and_david_andreatta.htm) that the city inspector searched his place for 3 1/2 hours instead of his usual 60 to 90 minutes and, like [many restaurateurs](http://www.nypress.com/blogx/display_blog.cfm?bid=75741710&day=12&startmonth=3&startyear=2007), claims hes been targeted as [part of an unfair backlash](http://www.nytimes.com/2007/03/13/nyregion/13inspect.html?em&ex=1173931200&en=bec5d463794cf48d&ei=5087%0A)we assume he means against city restaurants, not the HBO show.
