STOLEN WALLET RETURNED

A woman had her stolen wallet returned after a passerby retrieved it from the thief. Police said that on Sept. 26 at 7 a.m., a thief snatched the wallet from the 29-year-old woman's purse while she was walking near the southwest corner of Broadway and West 106th Street. A 47-year-old man spotted the theft and followed the suspect to West 104th Street and West End Avenue, where the Good Samaritan retrieved the wallet and returned it to the victim.
