STRUGGLE FOR A PHONE

a 64-year-old woman was robbed in front of brandeis high school on april 23 at 5:25 p.m. the woman told police that she was walking east on west 84th street while sending a text message on her cell phone. two male teens approached her when she reached 145 w. 84th street between columbus and amsterdam avenues. one tried to grab the phone and a violent struggled ensued, according to police. the teen muggers made off with the phone and ran west. the woman chased after the boys but lost them as they turned onto amsterdam avenue.
