VIOLENT JEWELRY HEIST

    two men robbed an antique shop on jan. 23 and assaulted an employee. police said that at 2:40 p.m., the employee buzzed the robber into more and more antiques, at 378 amsterdam ave. and west 78th street. the visitor asked to see a silver cup in a locked cabinet. when the employee opened the cabinet, the robber allegedly pulled a black handgun from his jacket and demanded that the employee open the jewelry case behind the cash register, cops said. the robber forced the clerk to the floor and buzzed in an accomplice. police said that while one robber cleared out the jewelry case, the other bound the employee's hands and feet with duct tape and put him in the bathroom.
