Last week, Mayor Michael Bloomberg participated in a town hall meeting at the Lighthouse International, on East 59th Street. More than a dozen commissioners from various city agencies joined the mayor, who joked that he "brought along people that know something." State Sen. Liz Krueger, Assembly Member Jonathan Bing and Council Member Dan Garodnick also attended the meeting. At the podium for an hour, Bloomberg took several audience questions, which covered topics including the fiscal downturn's effect on the city's aging infrastructure and school overcrowding. The event was hosted by the East Sixties Neighborhood Association, the 19th Precinct Community Council and the Stanley Isaacs Neighborhood Center.
