Hear It From Poets Who Know It

Be forewarned, this post will contain the word ‘poetry’ or some derivation of it exactly nine times. Tomorrow night, [The Bowery Poetry Club] will present [Poetic People Power](http://www.poeticpeoplepower.com/)’s Sick & Tired; A Call for Universal Care. In celebration of National Poetry Month, poets will perform new poems about the need for universal health care. In addition to Tara Bracco, the founder and producer of Poetic People Power, the following poets will perform: Frantz Jerome (rapper and founding member of Lyrical Circle), Chris Martin (not of Coldplay, but editor of Puppy Flowers), Pamela Sneed (author of the forthcoming book America Ain’t Ready), Sugar Johnson (possessor of great name, need we say more?), Erica R. Delarosa (Artistic Director of the poetry collective Las Alumnas de Anais) and Jonathan Walton (author of The Second Verse). Just to make it an even 10 … poetry rules!
