Hopefully More Hudson Yards Answers
After last months unveiling of the five proposed designs for the [Hudson Yards development], most of us are waiting for the final decision, which has vaguely been set for sometime early next year. In the meantime, the [Friends of the High Line](http://www.thehighline.org/) and the [Municipal Art Society](http://www.mas.org/) organized a [public discussion last week](http://chelseanow.com/cn_63/architects.html) at Cooper Union where the 1,000-strong crowd got to hear from the development teams first hand. Predictably their most pressing concerns, the High Line plans and housing, were glossed over by developers.
Tonight at 6pm the Hudson Yards Community Advisory Committee and Community Board 4 are holding a follow-up Rail Yards Input Forum (at the Hudson Guild Elliott Center, 441 W. 26th St., betw. 9th & 10th Aves.), where developers will present their proposals then answer questions. The event is open to the public and promises more pointed demands from community members and local officials, and (hopefully) more answers from developers. Before heading over there tonight, heres a quick primer on the pertinent issues in a [fun and quirky video]:
