JetBlue Makes Nice

Yesterday, [JetBlue Airways announced that it would make amends for the gross flight delays last week by giving passengers flight vouchers]. Some [weary travelers were stranded on the tarmac at John F. Kennedy ](http://www.fox19.com/Global/story.asp?S=6109905&nav=menu63_2)[International Airport for six or more hours](http://www.fox19.com/Global/story.asp?S=6109905&nav=menu63_2) on Valentine’s Day due to snowy weather conditions. The airline’s chief executive, David G. Neeleman, said [on Sunday that he was “humiliated and mortified” by the problems](http://www.nytimes.com/2007/02/19/business/19jetblue.html?ei=5090&en=59dbe261ee0abf18&ex=1329541200&partner=rssuserland&emc=rss&pagewanted=print). The flight vouchers will increase in value depending on how long a delay you experienced—so the more screwed you were on V-day (and not in the good way), the better. For those who were waiting one to two hours, $25 (my, it almost makes it all seem worth it); two to four hours, $50; six hours or more, a free round-trip flight equal to or less than the one that was delayed. But, as they say, money don’t buy happiness … or the kind of lovin’ these folks missed out on this Valentine’s Day.
