Polling, Polling, Polling...
Here are a few more noteworthy presidential poll numbers released today.
A Rassmussen Poll shows Rudy Giuliani has closed the gap between himself and Democrat John Edwards. Giuliani now trails Edwards by just two points nationally, 47-45, having been down nine to Edwards in April. More [here].
A Quinnipiac Poll of Ohio voters gives Giuliani the edge over Barack Obama (43-42), Hillary Clinton (47-43) and Al Gore (48-40). The poll also finds Ohio voters to have a 54-26 favorable/unfavorable rating of Giuliani, while Clinton's numbers are split evenly at 46-45. More [here].
And a Survey USA poll of Missouri voters finds Giuliani with a 48-45 edge over Clinton. More [here].
Given these numbers, perhaps that earlier Gallup Poll is a statistical anomaly.
