Robert Johnson Needs A Kick In The Ass
Last Saturday night police officer Eric Hernandez went into a White Castle on Webster Ave. in the Bronx for some belly bombers. He stood in line while five fools broke the manager's balls and then demanded that Hernandez buy them sodas.
Hernandez refused and these five thugs proceeded to beat the holy hell out of the off-duty cop. The brawl went out into the street where Hernandez got one of the thugs on the ground and had his revolver on him. Police responded and Hernandez, either thinking that the calvary arrived or too confused by the beating to understand, did not drop his weapon when ordered to do so by Officer Albert Toro. Toro shot Hernandez three times, and the thugs got away.
The next day there was hell to pay in the 46th Pct., and the NYPD did an outstanding job, with the help of the White Castle video. The thugs were rounded up, but Eric Hernandez lost a leg and will never be a cop again. While the suspects were in lock-up in the Bronx House of Detention, word got out that Bronx DA Robert Johnson was going to let one of the thugs walk because he only kicked Hernandez once.
An Inspector from the 46th Precinct down to talk with Johnson (who is notoriously anti-cop) and raised holy hell. The one-kick man, Daryl Massey, was finally charged with assault and held on $10,000 bailwhich he couldn't make.
Officer Toro has to live with the fact he shot a fellow officer. Eric Hernandez has to live with one leg. Robert Johnson has to live with his tainted consciousness. Maybe one day Johnson will be at a fast food joint and get the shit kicked out of him. I'd like to be at that arraignment.
