Swings And Slide Open For All

Here’s great news for kids, the young at heart and child molesters: Sixty-nine (we’re sure that number is just a coincidence) public-school playgrounds around the city will be [open for unrestricted use all summer], weekends and evenings starting July 1! According to Parks Commissioner Adrian Benepe, Mayor Bloomberg has allotted $96 million to the Parks Department for his environmental initiative, which he hopes will get people to spend more time outdoors. I’ll say! Plus, the Parks Department will be [renovating one hundred-plus playgrounds](http://www.ny1.com/ny1/content/index.jsp?stid=1&aid=69846), including adding trees and plants and making repairs.
