The morning of March 27, a 68-year-old woman from out of town took the 79th Street cross-town bus to the west side after visiting the Metropolitan Museum. When she got off the bus at 79th and Broadway, she realized that her wallet was missing from her purse. Fortunately, no fraudulent charges were made on her credit cards, and she cancelled the cards at her earliest opportunity. This is the latest such wallet snatch on a cross-town bus, and police advise riders to secure their wallets carefully.
