Another Teach Robs The Cradle

Yesterday, a 30-year-old NYC public school teacher was [arrested on charges of rape]. The alleged victim is a 13-year-old boy who may have been one of her students. The boy attended Junior High School 166 George Gershwin in Brooklyn, where speech instructor Marcia Amsterdam worked with students both in the classroom and one-on-one. In addition to second-degree rape, she has been charged with second-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. The investigation began Feb. 16 and Amsterdam was reassigned to administrative duties with no contact with children last Monday.
