Columbia Grad's Alleged Rapist Indicted

    The ex-con accused of raping, torturing and setting fire to a Columbia Graduate School of Journalism student over the course of 19 hours on April 13th has been [indicted on attempted murder and rape]. The 71-count indictment against 30-year-old Robert Williams also includes kidnapping, arson, burglary and predatory sexual assault. He will be [arraigned today](http://www.ny1.com/ny1/content/index.jsp?stid=1&aid=70239).

    Here are the gory details from [WNBC]: “Police said Williams raped the woman, tied her up with computer cables and used a knife to slit her eyelids. They say he forced her to swallow large doses of over-the-counter pain medicine as a sedative, which damaged her liver, and inflicted burns by dousing her with bleach and scalding water in an apparent attempt to destroy DNA evidence.”

    Williams was captured April 19th, the morning following [Columbia’s Take Back the Night] march against sexual violence.
