Most New Yorkers know that you should never leave your bags, especially anything valuable, unattended. One man obviously didn't get the memo. On March 8, a man in his 20s reported to police that he'd been hanging out in a bar/pub on First Avenue and had placed his computer bag, containing a company-owned laptop, on the stool next to him. He told police that he got up to "mingle with others in the bar for a bit," and that when he returned, his bag was gone. The Patagonia computer bag contained a popular Apple MacBook Pro computer. Both the bag and computer are valued at more than $2,000. The man said he called the bar the next day to see if they'd found his computer but the bar said nothing was found.
