Counterfeit Collector

A man posing as a tax collector stole $4,200 from an 81-year-old man living on West End Avenue. At 10 AM on Tuesday, August 13, the man received a phone call from someone claiming to be a tax collector named "Officer Ron Davis, badge number 7982." The self-proclaimed collector instructed the man to withdraw $4,200 and put the money on nine PayPal cards. The senior then called the phone number that "Ron Davis" had left, giving the robber the PayPal PIN numbers needed to collect the money
