    Sextet Threat

    A gang of young women shoplifted clothing from a West Side store. At 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, six women aged 18 to 22 entered a chain clothing store on Columbus Avenue and made off with $1,700 worth of merchandise. Video is available of the incident.

    Someone stole haircutting implements from a barber store. Sometime between the hours of 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, and 9 a.m. the following morning, someone broke into a barbershop on Columbus Avenue and stole a variety of professional grooming items, including razor blades, electric razors, and clippers totaling $1,200.

    You Forget, You Regret

    A man's jewelry was taken from a gym locker. On Thursday, February 27, a man forgot to lock his locker in a gym on West 64th Street. When he returned to the locker after his workout, he discovered that $2,500 worth of his jewelry had been removed by persons unknown.

    NYPD Announces Columbus Avenue Double-Parking Initiative

    Because of obstruction to traffic caused by double parking on Columbus Avenue, the NYPD has announced that traffic agents will be increasing efforts to ticket motorists double parking on that thoroughfare. The fine for double parking is $115.

    When you double park:

    ? You obstruct the view of other drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists.

    ? You impede traffic flow.

    ? You increase the chance of a collision.
