Europa Cuts Airiel Short

Chicago-based up-and-comers, Airiel, were in town Saturday night for a concert at Europa in Greenpoint. Unfortunately, the show was poorly scheduled and was running late, so Airiel had only enough time to showcase their shoegazer glory for the extent of 3 songs before reaching the 10 pm curfew. Once 10 pm hit, Polish night-clubbers poured into the Europa, which was abruptly transforming from indie music club to swank dance club. Airiel‘s close friends A Place to Bury Strangers actually cut their own set short to only 2 songs and an instrument-smashing frenzy, in order to give Airiel any time at all. Luckily, Pianos will host Airiel on Saturday for what promises to be full set.
