Ferry Collision in Battery Park

On Thursday May 16, a New York Water Taxi crashed into the dock at Pier A at Battery Park, at a speed of about 5 to 10 knots, DNAinfo.com reported. Only two passengers suffered minor injuries, and the rest of the 40 passengers were able to get off the vessel unharmed. The ferry reportedly lost power and was unable to stop in time before hitting the dock.
