Gym Robber Arrested

a man was arrested after attempting to break in to the new york sports club at 248 w. 80th st. and broadway. police said that raymond bird, 44, tried to enter the gym on sept. 22 at 4:44 p.m. he was found with a nail file, small screwdriver and white gloves. bird was charged with burglary. a day earlier, a locker at the gym was broken in to and ransacked. employees told police that they saw a man, possibly bird, in sunglasses hanging around the gym.
