Let's Go Mets Fans

Finally, Mets fans can now make it home from Shea Stadium in time to see the Yankee bullpen blow some late-inning leads. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority announced yesterday that [express service] on the No. 7 line will run from the Willets Point/Shea Stadium station after weeknight games, beginning shortly following the conclusion of the game and running for approximately [one hour afterwards](http://www.ny1.com/ny1/content/index.jsp?stid=1&aid=71585). The program will begin on July 12 for a series with the Cincinnati Reds. Even for those not taking the express train, service will be improved, as Manhattan-bound local trains will now arrive [every six minutes](http://www.amny.com/sports/baseball/mets/am-mets0712,0,2634215.story?track=rss). Of course, if the Yankees really intend to [catch the Red Sox](http://www.nypost.com/seven/07112007/sports/yankees/yanks__it_ain_t_over_yet_yankees_kevin_kernan.htm), then Mets fans may just have to endure Mariano Rivera finishing off victories in true Sandman fashion.
