Makeshift 9/11 Memorial Removed

A judge has ordered a makeshift 9/11 memorial in an office of a city courthouse removed because of a complaint.

Courts spokesman David Bookstaver told the New York Post that "someone found something offensive" about the bulletin board display of photos and newspaper clippings in Manhattan state Supreme Court.

He said "we erred on the side of caution" and took down the memorial started by staffers in the court's Records Room soon after the terrorist attacks.

Bookstaver didn't say which images were found offensive.

The bulletin board also contained material on President Barack Obama's inauguration and New York City sporting events.
