Man Assaulted After Argument

a man was arrested april 8 after attacking another man who was trying to stop a fight. police said that at 2:41 a.m., jermaine humber, 36, was speaking in a "disrespectful manner" to a tenant in a west 61st street building, between west end and amsterdam avenues. a 34-year-old man tried to diffuse the situation, but that escalated into shouting and shoving between the two men. when the 34-year-old man tried to walk away, police said humber smashed a glass 40-ounce bottle of coors into his head, causing swelling and a laceration above his left eyebrow. humber was charged with assault.
