Member Item Graph Shows Dems Getting Screwed

The [Albany Project] has put together a nifty little graph outlining how member items, or pork, are distributed in State Senate districts across New York. Not surprisingly, the Republican majority (represented by red bars) by far takes in the most money, while (blue bar) Democrats are on the short end of the stick.

The lowest amount of money according to the chart is sent to District 32, a South Bronx seat represented by the Democrat on the left, Rev. Ruben Diaz.

There is no graph for the Assembly yet, but it would be easy to guess that the Democratic majority there has been severely underfunding their Republican counterparts, requiring a reversal of the above headline.
