NEW CRASH BARRIER

the department of transportation installed a permanent crash barrier on the broadway mall at the north side of west 86th street after numerous complaints and letters by elected officials. the 16-foot long and two-foot high concrete divider on the north side of the intersection is designed to protect pedestrians who stop at the mall when crossing the wide street.
