NYers Say: Never Too Old To Go Back to School!

The City has created a new online tool for older New Yorkers looking to go back to school, called Age-Friendly NYC College Link. The site, which was launched recently by the city and the New York Academy of Medicine, helps to connect older adults to educational opportunities. The website, agefriendlycollege.org, lists several categories of study from the arts, to computer programming. After selecting areas of interest, you are directed to a page that breaks down opportunities for older adults at local New York colleges and universities. Such as free and discounted classes, or classes specifically for older adults.

"There is now one place that older adults can go to in order to find out how to audit or enroll in college classes, and they can do it for personal benefit or to help them learn new skills for new employment opportunities," said Speaker Christine Quinn. "Together we have taken another step to make the city more supportive of aging New Yorkers."
