One Day, Two Robberies

a man was arrested after his second robbery in the span of minutes. police said that march 7 at 8:38 p.m., william perry, 52, tried to steal a full tip jar from screme gelato bar, at 2030 broadway and west 70th street. the owner followed perry as he fled into a nearby food emporium supermarket. cops said that perry was found assisting a 63-year-old woman who was trying to use the self-check-out. he grabbed a $20 bill from the woman's hand, but was tackled to the ground by an employee.
