Park Avenue Robbery

A woman was thrown to the ground and her iPhone snatched on Park Avenue. At 2:10 AM on Wednesday, August 28, a 34-year-old woman was walking northbound on Park Avenue between East 61st and East 62nd Streets when two men, aged 23 and 20 years old, grabbed her from behind and threw her to the ground, causing minor scratches and redness. The robbers struggled with the victim and grabbed her white iPhone and black purse containing a credit card and $20 cash. The robbers then fled westbound on East 62nd Street. Police canvassed the area, and the victim made a positive ID. Her iPhone was recovered, and the two men were arrested and charged with robbery. The items taken and recovered were an iPhone 4S valued at $300, a black purse worth $10, and $20 cash.
