Parties Are Bad For You, Really Bad

A wild weekend ends in [bloodshed for party animals at two independent Brooklyn locations, while the Bronx offers stabbings and gunshots for all]. Sunday morning in Brooklyn, a fight over 23-year-old Hewitt Hester at a house party left her dead of stab wounds, while three other guests, who had tried to help, were injured but are now in stable condition at Brookdale University Hospital. Less than an hour after this incident, cops were called to a birthday shindig in East Flatbush where a gunman had fired 17 shots in front of the Island Grill and Café, killing Roger Maxwell, 30, and injuring three others, who are said to be in stable condition. Meanwhile, in the Bronx, a 53-year-old unidentified man died from chest wounds in a hotel on Webster Ave. That same day in Williamsbridge, a 33-year-old man died from a head injury while three men in their 20s were wounded (though now stable) when someone opened gunfire.
