a new jersey man had expensive camera equipment stolen from his car parked in front of 172 w. 81st st. and amsterdam avenue july 11. the thief smashed the passenger side front window of his 2003 silver mercedes benz and went through the center console. items behind the driver's seat were stolen as well. the thief took his canon photography equipment, including a $500 lens, $350 flash and $850 camera.
