Principals Compete In Best T-Shirt Contest

Remember back in August when we told you about the [ye olde Arabic school](/blogx/display_blog.cfm?bid=13818600&day=14&startmonth=8&startyear=2007) setting up shop in the city? And then Principal Debbie Almontaser was forced to resign from her post at said Arabic school after wearing a shirt that read, “Intifada NYC,” which in English translates to, “Shaking off.” And we’re sure you recall how a group of elected officials rallied for the [reinstatement of lil’ Debbie], the kind of fearless leader that puts the pal back in principal. But, alas, the Department of Education is still [looking for applicants](http://www.nypost.com/seven/10042007/news/regionalnews/bklyn_arab_school_still_lackin.htm) to fill the position at the Khalil Gibran International Academy in Brooklyn. Technically, Almontaser could reapply to get back her $120,000-a-year title. We wonder what interim acting principal Danielle Salzberg is telling her therapist right now.
