School Traffic Problem

to the editor: there are many issues regarding columbia prep and its lack of neighborliness that have led to opposition to the west 94th street project ("glass 'donut' expansion," oct. 15). many of us have complained about hundreds of cars dropping off and picking up students on west 93rd between central park west and columbus avenue to assembly member daniel o'donnell, council member gale brewer and the local police precinct captain, all to no avail. cars are double- and triple-parked, cars and buses are idling for 10 minutes or more, making the air quality horrible, and the traffic back-ups are dangerous for children and other pedestrians.
