TIME FOR MORE TABLE TENNIS

to the editor: as someone who once beat the then-u.s. champion many years ago, i was very pleased to see your coverage of the nyc table tennis championship ("table tennis makes a comeback," april 16); a sports person at the new york times advised me recently that they only cover table tennis when it's in the olympics.it's a sadly neglected sport in the united states, although very popular in china.kudos for covering it!
