WATER BACK TO NORMAL

For the past month, the city's Department of Environmental Protection has been taking water from the Croton water supply to perform maintenance on the Delaware Aqueduct in preparation for repairs. During that time, customers using water from the Croton supply had discolored water, which the agency said is harmless. On Dec. 15, parts of the Bronx and Manhattan will go back to getting water from the Catskill and Delaware systems. If residents experience discolored water, the department advises customers to let the water run until clear and call 311.
