West Side Brawl

two teens were arrested on june 21 for assaulting a 19-year-old bronx man on the southwest corner of columbus avenue and west 72nd street. police said that on july 21 at 11:04 p.m., the bronx man was walking with his girlfriend when one of the teens made a comment to the woman. emilio lopez, 19, allegedly started to punch the victim in the head, then took off his belt and used it as a weapon. lopez and another 19-year-old, martin hernandez, were arrested. however, in a separate report, police said that hernandez, tried to break up the fight but was attacked by lopez. lopez then allegedly took a glass bottle from the trash and threw it at hernandez, hitting him in the head. police picked up both teens.
