Who Knew? Central Park Not So Safe

The second gun-point robbery to take place in Central Park within the past five days went down last night [when a couple was ][jumped at 63rd Street and Center Drive] just before 9 p.m. According to police, one of two robbers pointed a silver gun and demanded money in some not-so-eloquent way. The “thugs,” as the Post calls them, got nine bucks from the man and $175 from the woman before running off to retire for life in some sunny paradise with all their dough. No one was hurt. The other stick up occurred last Sunday when a gunman robbed a guy at the Ramble near W. 73rd St.
