Would-Be Burglar Deterred

a burglar was chased away from an apartment building on west 64th street between amsterdam and west end avenues on june 30. police said that at around 11 p.m. that evening, a woman saw a burglar attempting to break in through the kitchen window in the back of her apartment. she screamed out for her husband and the burglar fled, though he was caught on video in the building's courtyard.
