ASSAULT FOR SUBWAY SEAT

A woman was attacked on a southbound 6 train near the East 86th Street stop after an argument with a man over a seat. Police said that on Oct. 26 at 8:45 a.m., the man punched her in the head with a closed fist. The 23-year-old woman allegedly retaliated, and the man punched her in the mouth, causing a minor laceration. Cops said the assailant escaped before they were able to catch up with him.
